An experienced general and advanced laparoscopy surgeon, Karim Sarhane, MD, is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He also holds a certificate of training equivalency in Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical equipment and a clinical trials certificate from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Karim Sarhane has completed and passed American College of Surgeons-recognized programs in the Fundamentals of both Laparoscopic and Endoscopic surgery.
Dr. Sarhane currently serves as a Head of Surgery Department at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).
Other key milestones in his medical career include serving as a Chief Surgical Resident at the University of Toledo Medical Center and as Principal Investigator at Johns Hopkins University, leading research projects funded by the National Research Foundations (including a study focused on engineering a nanofiber composite carrier for the delivery of targeted therapy to promote tissue regeneration).
